Explorations

My future artistic practice focuses on expanding my visual language through engagement with diverse cultural environments, traditional craft practices, and collaborative learning. Through travel, observation, and participation in different artistic communities, I aim to understand how artistic knowledge is shaped by place, culture, and shared histories.

I am interested in studying material-driven traditions such as goat-hair artistry, Mughal pattern systems, or Spanish geometric art forms related to mandala structures. By working closely with artisans and participating in workshops, I hope to explore historical craftsmanship, surface textures, and symbolic visual traditions embedded within regional craft practices.

Alongside this research-based exploration, I plan to experiment with sustainable materials and processes. I am interested in understanding how traditional techniques and community knowledge can be reinterpreted within contemporary artistic practice while maintaining respect for their cultural origins.

I am also collaborating with a well-known South Indian film artist and a fashion designer within my family to explore costume and jewellery design using sustainable materials such as reused plastic, bamboo, and banana fibre. Through this collaboration, I hope to eventually develop a fashion and costume label that brings together art, craft traditions, and environmentally conscious design.

My long-term goal is to create work that bridges traditional knowledge and contemporary visual culture, while promoting sustainability, cultural dialogue, and material experimentation in art and design.
